CanTYD
is moving forward. We have come a long way. In just 10
years, CanTYD has grown from a
grass roots volunteer organization to an organization
that now encompasses both a strong volunteer
base as well as a strong committed group of staff. The
work of CanTYD is described in one single
phrase, "Moving Forward, Building a Stronger Community
Together". Since 1998, this has precisely
what CanTYD has been tasked with, and what CanTYD has
exceled at. CanTYD has been moving
forward continously since its birth and without doubt
works tirelessly to build a stronger community.
What
impresses me the most about this organization is that
since its establishment, the organization
has been fortunate to attract committed individuals who
have laid out a strong foundation. This is
the motivating factor behind the consistent success of
CanTYD. The work of volunteers, community
members, parents, and the youth themselves is just
impeccable.
I like to
say that we are in the business of ensuring that every
youth that we come across has the
opportunity to do his/her best. Providing an
opportunity for youth to utilize their strengths as well
as
providing individual attention in this fast paced world
is what CanTYD is all about.
CanTYD has a
proven track record in breaking barriers for young
people as well as providing youth
with appropriate direction and strong mentorship. Our
success stems from our effectiveness in
mobilizing the community at a grass roots level. We
take great pride in this, and it is visible in
CanTYD's ability to effectively tackle youth violence
on one end and provide support to newcomers
on the other end.
There is
government support, there is support from the social
service agencies. However, the most
significant support comes from the community, from
individuals like you. You are our most cherished
supporters and well wishers. You work, live, and raise
your children in this community and there is no
one else who understands the needs of this community
better.
The
community should be a place where our youth can be
instilled with confidence. A driving force
that will ensure sucess in their lives. Our time,
interest, and commitment to our community will put
our children on the right path to suceeed with
confidence.
Our past
success is seen through the positive impact CanTYD makes
in the lives of youth and their
families. It's vital that we stand together to continue
to foster future sucesses. Let's continue moving
forward together, let's continue to inspire and dream
together.
