| The Awards of Excellence, CanTYD's signature gala event, recognizes high-achieving youth in the Tamil community who have overcome obstacles for success. The event acknowledges high school students for their achievements in the academic and athletic realm, as well as students who have made significant artistic and community contributions. The award-winners were profiled and recognized for their achievements. The keynote speaker was Margarett Best, Minister of Health Promotion. |

| Annual General Meeting |

| CanTYD's Annual General Meeting was held at the Scarborough Civic Centre. CanTYD celebrates 10 years of Breaking the Barriers, Building the Future. The Board of Directors discussed CanTYD's mission and vision, achievements, fiscal status, as well as their plans for the future. Several youth shared their perspectives and showcased dramatic and dance performances. CanTYD looks forward to the next exciting decade of Moving Forward, Building a Stronger Community Together. |

Female Leadership Conference

| The Tamil Women's Conference, Changing Roles of Tamil Women, was hosted by CanTYD's Selvy's Circle with the support of the Youth Challenge Fund (YCF). This was an opportunity for the young women to host discussions with several successful women panellists, including Manjula Selvarajah, Meera Mather, Harini Sivalingam, Shanthy Logeswaran and Nishanthini Nagaratnam. |

Beach Trip

| Youth Challenge Fund |

| Among CanTYD's major funders is the Youth Challenge Fund (YCF). The YCF hosted its annual fair at Rogers Centre to showcase the many organizations they fund. The day consisted of a wide array of events, programs, and booths setup by various community organizations. CanTYD was proud to be a part of such a successful event. |

| Walkathon |

| CanTYD's Annual Walkathon was held at York University. Members of the Youth Council, staff, volunteers, and board members alike contributed pledges for the all-day affair. A wide variety of events were hosted, including sports tournaments, obstacle courses, party games, and a dance performance choreographed by Anoshinie Muhundarajah. The event received the support of the York University Tamil Students Association, the Peel Tamil Seniors' group, and the local community. |

| Bringing your talent out on stage might not be as easy as it looks. On March 6, CanTYD hosted a talent show that brought out a variety of performances, including dancing, singing, and music with classical instruments. CanTYD released its short film on the violent life of a teen, Juvenile Intent, directed by Goperajah Arulananthan and Shyanthy Thevarajah. The auditorium was filled with cheers and excitement as over 200 youth came out to mark the event. |
