The CanTYD Youth Council
is a group of youth representing all the High
Schools in GTA. Each members of the Youth Council
has the responsibility of representing their school
and CanTYD to the community.
Objective:

Youth Council is a group of youth led by volunteers
to:

Provide CanTYD with new strategy to outreach to
youth
2.
Engage youth in positive activities
3.
Engage youth to take leadership role in the
community
4.
Encourage youth in higher education
The Mission:
CanTYD
Youth Council will provide a vital link between
youth and CanTYD to promote mutual respect and
ensure that the voice of youth is heard in providing
services for youth, while creating and encouraging
youth opportunities.

Canadian Heritage Day
Celebration
The Youth
Advisory Council hosts Canadian Heritage Day to
celebrate Canada Day. The focus of the event is to
promote Canadian Multiculturalism and engage youth
to take pride in Canadian Heritage.
Youth Action Day
The
council hosts youth action day to educate and engage
youth in leadership workshop to create awareness
about youth issue and community engagement to build
strong youth community.
